Local law enforcement and Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel completed their investigation of the death of retired Bend Firefighter John Love. Love’s body was found on February 11, 2019 covered in snow on a construction site in NE Bend. While the exact cause of death is still to be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner, all available evidence indicates that no foul play was involved. The local investigation is closed.
