Oregon Department of Justice Assumes Lead in Bend Police Shooting Investigation

Today, Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum agreed to the Oregon Department of Justice assuming the lead prosecutorial review role into the December 23rd shooting death of Michael Jacques in downtown Bend. Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel asked Attorney General Rosenblum to take-over this case due to a potential conflict of interest that has recently developed.
