Defendant Nathan Felix was sentenced to 13 months prison today for Aggravated Harassment after spitting on a City of Bend Police Officer responding to another officer's call for back-up after the defendant made threatening statements, including that he had a gun and was going to shoot the officer. Defendant Felix was not the subject of the call, but would not comply with the officer's request to leave the area. Defendant Felix has an extensive criminal history which contributed to the length of his sentence. The defendant had appeared in court on Nov. 25, 2013 and uttered a profanity; he was found in contempt by the court and sentenced to 15 days jail consecutive to any other sentence. The officer will receive updates on the defendant's testing for communicable diseases.
