Deschutes County District Attorney filed a motion to dismiss the Indictment charging 33-year-old Bend resident Gretchen Miller with theft, forgery, and falsifying business records. A Deschutes County Grand Jury returned the Indictment in July. The Indictment was based on allegations that Miller, who was a bookkeeper for Bend Painting, embezzled funds from the company and doctored the company books to hide her tracks.
