DDA Foreman Convicts Davis of Theft

February 11, 2014

We have been busy with trials the last few weeks, with great results. One case seemed to capture a lot of attention in the office and that was the theft of two custom made Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Boards made by a local Bend Company, MaliaKai surfboards. DDA Sarah Foreman convicted Nolan Davis of Theft I. He was found in possession of the custom SUP Boards after they had been stolen from a camp site. The defendant told several stories about how he ended up with them, none of which were true. Both the Deschutes County Sheriff's Office and the United States Forest Service were involved in the investigation. Many of the crimes we see are crimes of opportunity, please remember to keep your valuables secured.
